Enjoy some of his latest tweets and fun stuff! He always takes us with him doesn’t he? When he isn’t extending invitations to shake hands he’s grabbing his iPhone and sharing the world with us through his travel and fun family life. Cheers Curt! We appreciate you!
2026
In January, Curt appeared at Joey’s Song with his eldest daughter, Lady Diva. This was one for the ages. It was an incredible event and they did an awesome job featuring a variety of marvelous songs by Tears for Fears including “The Maze” by Manchester Orchestra. Diva shared her work as well. They both glowed like angels the entire time.
Curt completed an interview with a Nashville reporter and musician. In this interview he noted that the tour that they were joking around about at the Wednesday 22 October, 2026 concert at Fountainebleau is not etched in stone. They may work on some new music first and then take that out on the road with them. *The turmoil in the world has may not have anything to do with this decision to work on new music but it’s a good time for us to take stock of our lives and prepare for the future.
2025
Curt participated in the Pysch convention. Admin from History of The Big Chair was the main fan representative and provided incredible coverage of the event. See and follow them on Instagram
Curt shared his awesome voice at camp! He was featured at Camp Brave Trails! This was an incredible supportive event that raised money for their cause. Much love and hugs to all the campers! They recently opened a branch in Atlanta, Georgia.
2024
The band has a cameo (well, a song) in The Minions movie released this summer. Be sure to check that out… They’ve been kind of quiet but in October they’ll be at Fontainebleau for a mini-res. We also get to see The Tipping Point Movie in theatres.
Curt and his daughter Diva will be featured on a compliation honouring Michel Polnareff. They will cover “La Poupee Que Fait Non”
The band appeared at the premiere of The Tipping Point and fans gathered for a Q&A. Several got to meet Pascal, Roland’s son who also produces music under the name Quarterboy. His tunes are a terrific and delicious mix you won’t be able to live without once you hear them…
The interviews for this year are in the Quarterly Update for 2024. See homepage or use the search button. Send us a note if you can’t find it on our site.
As of November we are off Twitter. Had a short exchange with Curt about it. We’re done there. Let’s focus on other platforms where we can interact safely with Mr. Smith.
2023
Some great interviews and super kind moments with fans. Bit of Psych activity. We’ll take it!
2022
Big Tour Year – The Tipping Point was released and we followed them around like puppies.
Curt fell in the tour bus toward the end of the tour. The bus was stopping and he thought it had completed the stop and was parked. Nope. Fell and some instruments fell on him as well from what we understand. He is in a cast around his torso with several broken ribs. The absolute horror of it all. The tour is paused for the moment. Their dear friend Alison Moyet is on hand to do a show in their place at Lytham. Several other fans have fallen ill at this time (likely got sick from so much time together in close quarters for the past three weeks) and had to miss this festival so… there’s something to be said about that. Odd timing.
He seems to be well as of December or at least well recovered and we are beyond pleased. Scared us to pieces. You know how we get. Happy birthday to his youngest daughter Wilder (27 Dec).
2021:
18 November, Curt Smith will be featured on Psych3 with the original cast. Peacock will stream it and we’ll have a viewing party. Can’t wait!!
Summer: Curt Smith and family returned to Italy for his birthday. He and Lady Frances renewed their vows in a beautiful ceremony. We’re super excited for them and continue to pray for their incredible relationship to be blessed beyond measure. Mazel Tov! Mabrook!
Both Roland and Curt received an Ivor Novello Award for Tears for Fears’ Best Music Collection as voted by their peers. We feel it surpasses all other awards because when your industry colleagues love you it says a lot! Congratulations to the team.
We were also introduced to the band’s friends at Radio Bath – a new station in Bath UK that is super supportive of Tears for Fears. Curt’s brother Shaun Smith is involved. We’ll be listening and interacting with them (e.g. Dave Mason) a lot in the months to come.
2020:
27 December is his youngest daughter Wilder Smith’s birthday and we’re super excited to be able to celebrate this day with her online. It’s a really cool coincidence that the following day (28 December) is Roland’s niece’s birthday and the TFF Travel Fan Moderator’s birthday.
Every year, the Smith Family Rockers have made a nice holiday song for us all.
Here’s Diva and Wilder’s gifts to the fan family and world!
