This post is dedicated to Andy B – loyal fan who waited nearly 35 years to see the band and Shaun Smith, a great world traveller who also happens to be the Good Man’s brother! We’re so happy for their contributions tonight to the travel fan site, allowing us to share their experience with the world!
And we do mean the world! As of today, this site has seen almost 20,000 visits per year since 2014. We joined this labour of love in 2004 and started going live publically in 2011 with the travel portion on this platform. Big thanks to all who contribute and share. This is all about featuring the absolutely fantastic moments of fans on tour and the great moments with the band…and there are plenty. Let’s dive into tonight’s show.
@curtsmith, you tweeted me happy birthday on my 15th, now I’m 21 and FINALLY got to see you live tonight, thank you and @rolandtff for the tunes, see you at Blenheim Palace… Play The Working Hour and I might just die 🙇♀️ #TearsForFears @tearsforfears – Maggie

Good Man Mr. Smith always tweets out his thank you! We love this!
“Thank you Bournemouth you warm & wonderful people. Now I understand why Eddie Howe likes it here 😍” -Curt Smith
Our bonus tonight is from Cindy P. She shares the Liverpool review which is thankfully focused on their music! The previous writers who seemed to be aching for bromance with Curt and Roland as if the band’s show was a Tinder swipe are completely absent here! We rejoice! Read Here
We’ll add more videos as they are received! Thank you for reading, sharing and enjoying! See you at the show!

“I have had the unbelievable opportunity to play some amazing shows and places in my career, but tonight definitely is one of the highlights of my journey…. O2 Arena, London, England.” – Jamie Wollam (aka Drummer Genius)
Tweet of the day was this beauty from ‘All on the Board’
This was a really big deal. The O2 sold out! Capacity is close to 20,000. There was literally no extra space in this entire venue – every seat was purchased and or occupied. Tonight solidified the fact that Tears for Fears are indeed one of the top bands of all times. Their work and ability is timeless. Their message eternal!
Get a better scope of the space with Kadelbach’s video.
One of our favourite moments during any show is the proximity of Curt and Roland. Don’t ask us why. It’s something about these two angelic beings getting close together that excites us on a whole other level! Big thanks to Mr. Ibarra for this share!
If you can’t wait until you get to a show then consider buying early from the merch store online http://www.tearsforfears.com. Items are arriving pretty quick.
Roland first began handing the microphone down into the audience in 2011 at the Wiltern. He’s continued the tradition quite kindly. Here he is in action!
We try to add in a bit of a bonus including reviews. Here’s one from ES Insider featuring Roland’s thoughts on touring.
Let’s get straight to the point…they played Suffer the Children. Now, a few nights ago we posted a video from the In My Minds Eye treasure box. That video is a full show of The Hurting plus two songs from SFTBC. And no one in YEARS has heard that song live…until today. The internet lit up!
And MVP Darren H got an audio recording of it. He wanted badly to make sure he didn’t break the rules so he didn’t hold his phone up. Mad respect for this!
Gwen got a copy as well. Tilt your head so you can see it…
This post is dedicated to Andrew W. He has been loyal and he shows up! Here he is with Drummer Genius Jamie Wollam 🙂
Big thanks to all the Tears for Fears Travel Fans who are modestly travelling alongside the band, zipping in and out of shows. Some are working and still finding a way to make it to shows. You are troopers! Much love to you from your fellow fans! Reach out if you need anything! We’re on standby.
*Dedicated to Marcio Campos in Brasil! Thank you for connecting us with additional fans for this show!
Wow, Liverpool! How exciting and historic given the Beatles’ beginnings here! We spoke to Jamie before this show and got permission to post some photos (one above). We’re excited to have some pictures from their point of view. It’ll be nice to add to the archives.
Also got this great photo from Claire Hartshorn Photography! Thank you, Claire!
Mr. L came through on the guitar picks and yes we asked that they be put into the online store so we can stock up. The last time we had such exquisite ones was 2012 during Brit Week.
*Some items will not be visible as they are linked to Twitter accounts. We’ll be sure to post photos vs. links to accounts in future in case fans decide to go private going forward. You can ask to be friends which will allow you to see all the great pictures.
So privileged to have witnessed the so-far evolution of these two talented men, the survival journey of their music and the very human — of course imperfect — obstacle-jumping they’ve had to do along the way. Hold my heart indeed! #love#awe#loyalty#TFF
Your set was unbelievable you were both note perfect and the band was fantastic.Great to see the chemistry was still there .Well worth waiting to see you big shout out to Allison Moyet who smashed it as well
Cried tears of joy, absolutely smashed it tonight, never sat down danced all night. Thank you so much for one of the best nights of my life. Alison was fabulous also. Enjoy the rest of the tour. 😘❤
It was a great gig…. took a lot of organising for me to get there, but Sooooo worth it. Brilliant from the first moment to the last – including @AlisonMoyet who was amazing. Thank you both.
This post is dedicated to Tamara who flew all the way from Minnesota to Europe to follow the show. Tamara has been through a lot in her life. Like many, she has been able to find healing and energy in the music of Curt, Roland and team. Tamara you are appreciated and loved! Please remember that. What you did for fans, capturing the moments and experience then sharing it online was the real deal! You are awesome (and super pretty – look at that face)! We’re excited to have learned about Evan being in company as well.
From the eyes of our dear Gwen, she provided a lot of photos of the venue. Note how much larger this one is than the night before. It was soon just as packed.
Our dear lady Alison Moyet opened the show and we couldn’t be more pleased! We love her and wish she was a permanent member of the band. She will forever be a part of the Tears for Fears experience. Be sure to follow her on Twitter @alisonmoyet
How about this treasure from the Stone Forums. They claim they will be recording the entire show, every show until the tour ends! What a gift! You can barely hear Curt on EWTRTW because the crowd is singing so strongly it’s almost overpowering. Enjoy while it lasts because we don’t know if they’ll get flagged for posting this or not. *For the record, that’s not Andye singing Falling Down. She’s learned to pipe down at the concerts with all the singing. We don’t know this rogue singer but it was super cool to hear someone else enjoy it as much as we do!
It’s hard to discuss these shows right now because they are so fresh and the excitement is intense. A few of us are simply speechless and trying come down from cloud 9. It takes a while. Returning to earth after a Tears for Fears show is like…well, imagine being somewhere between heaven space and heaven. It’s mindblowing! An Irish Times writer seems to have gotten her bearings and quickly published this piece about the show. It is one of our favourites thus far.
“Pure perfection tonight. So happy they included ‘Falling Down’ and ‘Woman in chains’ tonight. Ro’s voice sounds incredible, as good as ever & you could tell he was enjoying himself again tonight, pulling faces and huge smiles for everyone. 2 down, 10 to go…” – Gwen, TFF Travel Fan about the Dublin show
If you are a die-hard soldier of sound you know we had some scares at the start of the year. Like a hot cup of coffee filled to the brim, we’ve been walking slowly and carefully hoping the cup didn’t run over and burn us all in some form or fashion. We were really scared out of our wits with so much legalese and uncertainty with the show reschedule and journalists on the outside picking up bits and pieces of our online conversations and then writing about what they “think” is going on with the band and fans. We’re so glad to have moved on from that to be present in the presence of Tears for Fears – their concerts wash away all pains, all negative emotion. It’s like being lifted to a whole other realm and completely healed. May the Universe bless the band and all of us on the road and in the air this year!

SunFest in West Palm Beach (Florida) – *This show was cancelled shortly before Tears for Fears were to be on stage. A LOT OF FANS FLEW IN FOR THIS!! We’re going to look into what refund options are available to all fans. Several on Twitter and FB have noted how they came JUST for Tears for Fears. WPTV reported on it.
We didn’t see this show coming…it was a huge and welcomed surprise! Many thanks to Marcio Campos who got all the footage for us as he always does. We appreciate his leadership and kindness to all fans from North America, South America and beyond. Marcio, you are one of a kind! We love you and appreciate you!
The file has been shared hundreds of times from the event and you can also watch it on YouTube. We have it archived in our video files of which are available to all travel fans and friends!
We have a lot of great memories of travelling to Las Vegas and hanging out for a few days while we await the band to land and give us one of their epic musical nights. Tears for Fears concerts in Vegas are just EPIC! This one was thankfully indoors unlike some in the past (remember 2012’s heat – even the band asked for one during cooler weather LOL!). Thankfully each time the band has brought amazing, cool energy that creates a breeze of beautiful memories that have stayed with us. This was another one of those outstanding shows that you just can’t forget. There are so many wonderful posts about TFF Vegas 2017! Enjoy these videos from those that shared!

Tears For Fears Travel Fan Blog Write – Up: Glendale (Phoenix) – Gila River Arena by Lael, TFF Travel Fan Team
Kenya and I arrived just on time, as the gridlock in Phoenix rush hour traffic was much worse than I thought it would be, especially considering we had use of the carpool lane. Opening act Allen Stone started earlier than 7:00 pm, and Tears For Fears took the stage at 7:15 pm. We made it to our seats on the floor just as TFF were taking the stage!! They sounded wonderful, and kept the volume at a nice level, considering the size of this arena.
Jamie Wollam was hitting on all cylinders, and his style of drumming just seems to suit larger venues. Actually, I feel that arenas bring out the optimum performance in TFF as well, due to the sing – along anthem style of their biggest hits. Other hits like “ELAHE” also shimmered in this setting.
I ended up dancing and singing, and remained standing during all of TFF’s set, even though in parts it felt kind of strange, almost a little inappropriate, as most of the audience was sitting down in the middle of their set. I loved the lighting effects that TFF had in place for “Change”, as these effects brought the song’s clean sound and pointed message to life.
The highlight of their concert was Kenya receiving a shout – out from Curt Smith, on the intro to “Shout”. I will never forget the look on Kenya’s face when she realized he had said her name! It took both of us a couple moments to realize it, as Curt Smith said her name in his adorable British accent, and she just did not believe it at first. I then turned to her, “Yeah, he said your name…”
Here are some of the amazing songs featured in Phoenix show, posted by fellow fans that were present. Be sure to like their YT channels and connect!
Gorgeous Valerie and her amazing friends/fellow fans!
The screams at the start are the best part…hear the love!
After the concert, we met up with Valerie Matherne and her cousin, Deanna. We ended up going to this nondescript taco bar at Westgate, and had non – alcoholic drinks, as the kitchen had already closed and it was getting late, with long drives still ahead…

Thanks for watching! Be sure to like each channel, subscribe and say hello!
The phone rang, people emailed, the media reached out… “Are you going to Tel Aviv? Can we speak with you?” Everyone was excited about this show! It was one of the first to be officially announced this year on the grapevine so to speak.
Here’s some footage from that show. Please be sure to reach out, follow and befriend all who are sharing! It’s awesome to build your circle with fellow Tears for Fears fans! Congratulations to Carina Round as she is expecting a child soon. We wish her well.
This post is dedicated to Liran Dan who was so excited about the show and reached out to pour his heart and soul into the greetings for the band. G-d bless you!
